In honor of our one year birthday at Saddle Creek, we are launching our first ever design competition - a Mango Street Baby T-shirt design contest!

We have always wanted our very own T-shirts for our Mango babies and parents to help promote who we are and those that shop with us.  We know that our customers are a creative and future-forward bunch, so we thought it a perfect opportunity to open it up to our Mango community and see what you can do.

We are looking for designs that are creative, cute and incorporate the Mango Street brand in some way - either through our color palette, logo, or catch phrases.  Designs can be geared toward a shirt for all ages, for our babies, or our parentals.

Show off your design skills.  The winning designers will have their design printed on all of our T-shirts and will win some fabulous prizes in the process!



Submission Deadline: Entries must be submitted/received by July 23, 2008.



RULES


1. You can enter as many designs as you like
2. Jurying will be done anonymously and designs will be selected on the basis of merit and feasibility
3. You can not infringe on anyone’s copyright with your design, and by entering the competition, you agree that your work is your own
4. By entering the competition, you agree to give Mango Street exclusive rights to publish your work on our website and/or use your design on our T-shirt
5. The following prizes will be awarded: spa packages, restaurant gift certificates, Mango Street gift certificates, and Mango Baby gear.

Designs should consider the following:

1. Mango Street Baby color scheme, logo or phrases
2. Up to 4 colors are allowed, but less = more. If you can do a fabulous design in 1 color, this will give you a leg up in the competition
3.  Designs can fit ANYWHERE on the T-shirt body (except seams), and creative use of the T-shirt space is encouraged.

We are looking for designs that are fabulously eye-catching and creative, but also wearable and practical. Design something you would be proud to wear yourself.

Tag lines to consider are "Is your baby a Mango baby?"  and "Welcome to life on Mango Street!"


WAYS TO ENTER.Enter one of three ways: (1) Mail an 8 ½” x 11” color print of your color design along with your name, age, complete address, telephone number, email address with first-class postage affixed to: Mango Street Baby, Attn: T-shirt Contest, 2055 West  Street, Suite 13, Germantown TN 38138. Mail entry must be postmarked by July 20, 2008 and received by July 23, 2008. (2)  Hand Deliver an 8 ½” x 11” color print of your color design along with your name, age, complete address, telephone number, email address with envelope sealed to: Mango Street Baby, Attn: T-shirt Contest, 2055 West  Street, Suite 13, Germantown TN 38138. Entry must be received by July 23, 2008.  (3)  Email an 8 ½” x 11” color print of your color design along with your name, age, complete address, telephone number, email address to contact@mangostreetbaby.com. Entries can be designed on computer or by hand, either using color (limit to 4 colors) or in black and white.
